A new music show packed full of Soul classics with some of Ireland’s Finest Singers and Performers.
Amy Penston, Chris Currid, Leah Penston & David Latham will be performing songs from Aretha Franklin, Wilson Pickett, Stevie Wonder, The Blues Brothers and Smokey Robinson & The Marvelettes.
The cast features some of Ireland's finest singers and performers who have performed in the hit West End shows like The Commitments and The Play That Goes Wrong, and stars Amy Penston (The Commitments), Chris Currid (The Rock Tenors), Leah Penston (The Commitments) and David Latham (Jesus Christ Superstar).
Soul music was born out of a fusion between African American gospel singing in the USA in the 1950s. In an era where hope resilience and faith where much needed – it was Soul music that provided refugee for many people connecting their spirit to their soul. Today that music still exists and is as timeless as ever.
