In Somatic Movement in Thomas Hanna’s tradition, we work with gentle, natural full body movement patterns, oscillating in and out of tension and effort to find greater ease, understand more about our movement habits and prepare ourselves for more freedom of movement, more fluidity, better breathing and comfort. We work primarily lying down in different positions and you move within your range of comfort without stretching or straining. The classes are a fun exploration of sensing and filling in the gaps we all have when it comes to fully inhabiting our bodies and are suitable for everyone who can lie on a mat.
Katrin Neue is an Essential Somatics® certified Clinical Somatic Educator (600h) with an extensive teaching background in dance and Pilates. She will be talking about her practice which is a gentle and therapeutic movement approach - a hands-on practice developed by Thomas Hanna, PhD.
