World Premiere of “Men’s Business” by Simon Stephens
Dublin, Ireland – The Glass Mask Theatre is set to host the world premiere of “Men’s Business,” a new play by Tony and Olivier Award-winning playwright Simon Stephens. This highly anticipated production will run from February 11, 2025, to March 1, 2025, at the Glass Mask Theatre located within the Best Seller Cafe on Dawson Street.
A Unique Love Story
“Men’s Business” is a radical new version of Franz Xavier Kroetz’s rarely performed masterpiece “Mannersache.” The play is a love story set in the back room of a butcher’s shop, featuring a brutal dog howling in the yard next door. The narrative follows Charlie, whose unwavering faith in love persists despite life’s brutalities, and Victor, a man with strict personal rules and a disdain for secrets and dogs.
