The Sanity Clause
Written and performed by Pat Nolan
Paddy is a full time actor. Come December, (if he’s not doing Panto) the Santa suit comes down from the attic and Paddy gets into full Santa Mode. He’s not getting any younger. His body keeps reminding him that he’s not the young fella he thinks he is.
Paddy takes us through a day as the Big Man himself, Santa Clause, regaling us with anecdotes and jokes and tips. His insecurities and hopes and dreams. And his bedrock, his wife Joanie.
Dealg
Written by Stewart Roche
Performed by Fiana Toibin
Dublin 1931.
Siobhan sits at the same seat, looking across the street at the same building, on the same day, December 23rd, every year. As she waits hopefully for her companion to arrive, she recalls how a chance remark in the cinema about a piece of jewellery changed her life irrevocably, introducing her to love and adventure when she least expected it. And about how a note left beside her bedside locker broke her heart and led her inevitably to the place she now finds herself, seemingly forever.
