O’HARA’S Main Stage SUNDAY – John Francis Flynn + Support

John Francis Flynn is a leading figure in Ireland's folk music renaissance. The singer and multi-instrumentalist is a founding member of Skipper's Alley and a frequent collaborator with the likes of Ye Vagabonds and Lankum.

While supporting Lankum on their UK tour, Flynn caught the attention of Rough Trade's River Lea label, which released his critically acclaimed debut album, "I Would Not Live Always". The album captivated folk fans both in Ireland and internationally and showcased Flynn's striking clarity of artistic vision. Rooted in traditional song, Flynn uses his source material to explore new musical territories, framing his rich, resonant voice in abstract drones and loops.

John Francis Flynn's live shows are intimate, emotionally charged experiences. This is going to be special.
