Set in 19th century Ireland, at the height of the Great Famine, "In the Midst of Plenty" is a full-length contemporary folk musical that tells the story of Bridget Connor, a mother of four living on the hunger-stricken Strokestown estate in County Roscommon. She must make unthinkable choices as she fights to save her children from starvation, eviction, and forced emigration, during the most harrowing chapter in Ireland's history.When her family is thrust into the real-life plot to assassinate Denis Mahon, the landlord of the Strokestown estate, Bridget must ask herself what she is willing to sacrifice - and who she is willing to betray - so that her own family may survive.
