RTÉ 2FM Rising, the annual programme that profiles and celebrates new and upcoming Irish artists each year, is taking to the road and coming to a city near you this Autumn with Ireland's most exciting new music acts.
Join Tracy Clifford and pals for night three, where we take over Andersons Live in Sligo for the ultimate party night to close the series for 2022.
We are delighted to have not one but two success stories from the very first year of RTÉ 2FM Rising. They have had a summer of festival appearances and late-night secret parties across Ireland and Europe, Le Boom bring a taste of their magic to Andersons Live in Sligo, we are so lucky to have them join us just ahead of their midnight show at Dublin’s iconic 3Olympia Theatre on Friday 2nd December 2022. People of the North West, this is going to be special.
Another success story, the boys from Tullamore, Chasing Abbey will be joining us and making that stage bounce. Chasing Abbey are a dance pop trio from Tullamore comprised of artists Ro, Teddy C and Bee. Childhood friends, the trio are multi-instrumentalist producers and singers whose expertise helped skyrocket Chasing Abbey to unparalleled industry success in Ireland, as well as becoming award-winning artists for their debut self-release That Good Thing (winning the prestigious RTÉ Choice Music Prize Song of the Year award), simultaneously the most Shazamed song in the country at the time.
Lucy Blue is a current RTÉ 2FM Rising, this is your chance to see someone who is about to sky rocket to success. She had a prolific 2021 and that was just the beginning of her journey. Releasing her debut EP ‘Fishbowl’ to critical acclaim, she turned i-D and The Sunday Times in particular into early fans of her delicate song writing and performed at festivals across the UK including Latitude, Reading and Leeds. Set to become an undeniable year for Lucy 2022 kicked off with her listed as one of the NME 100 & one of Clash magazine next wave 2022 artists and an EP which further showcases her as an undeniable artist to watch. We are thrilled to have her close out our Rising On The Road Series.
