Sunday night at Bram Stoker Festival is ripe for some ‘Vampire Tales’ at ‘Meeting House Horrors’ the outdoor film screening series of your favourite spooky films, with ‘The Lost Boys’ winning the vote as the most in demand vampire film for our big screen!
The tagline for this 1987 thriller “Sleep all day. Party all night. Never grow old. Never die. It’s fun to be a vampire” – perfectly captures the bratty 1980s teen movie take on vampires, with its knowing mixture of attitude, gore, punky haircuts, goth music, and of course “the Coreys” (Corey Haim and Corey Feldman) providing comic relief at just the right moments.
Before the screening, we’re thrilled to be able to show a new short horror comedy – The Early House.
The Early House
Glen is a troubled teenager with one thing on his mind… revenge!
An after-hours Dublin boozer plays host to a nest of vampires in this new short horror-comedy from award-winning filmmakers Derek O’Connor and Ian Whelan, AKA Doris/Magee, created especially for this year’s Bram Stoker Festival
